One of our greatest strengths is the diversity of our members. This enables us to effectively assist a wide range of job seekers.

We currently hold a number of specialist contracts that deliver services to meet the specific needs of people with disability, young people and at-risk youth, job seekers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, job seekers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and ex-offenders.

Partnerships prepare mature-age job seekers for aged care industry

Job Futures member BUSY At Work have partnered with aged care provider Wesley Mission to target occupations across Aged Care and Community Services. To provide relevant training BUSY At Work will also partner with Brisbane TAFE targeting mature aged job seekers. This sector provides good employment prospects for mature age workers, as 43% of people currently employed in this sector in North Brisbane are aged 45+.

Aged care is a growth industry and Job Futures is developing closer ties with this sector to provide effective pathways to ongoing employment for job seekers.

The Byron Bay Cookie Company is the largest employer in Byron Bay, a community with rising unemployment rates. Job Futures member Envite worked with this growing business to find a mature age employee with a wealth of experience and a desire to make a difference.
