Australian Apprenticeship Support Network
In an innovative collaboration for CoAct, the organisation partnered with member BUSY At Work to create 'The Apprenticeship Community' and directly deliver Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) services in Western Australia. The Apprenticeship Community has been designed specifically for Western Australian employers and apprentices.
Historically CoAct has primarily delivered employment services from Perth to Broome and was the largest provider of Access to Apprenticeship services until funding was ceased in June 2014.
BUSY At Work is a recognised leader in Australian apprenticeship and traineeship services. Their scope of expertise extends to supply, administration, mentoring and advisory, regulation and training. Since 1998 they've supported over 280,000 apprentices and 59,000 employers.
This partnership that commenced on July 1 benefits the communities of Western Australia. The combination of local knowledge and industry expertise means employers and apprentices receive the right advice, local service and the best outcome for all.
Our 2014/15 Impact?
It's too soon to tell, but by July 2015 we had set up in seven locations in WA with two outreach sites.
We acknowledge that Australian Apprenticeship Support Network is a Government funded program.
