Starting in July 2014, it's apt to say that the green shoots are sprouting at a rapid rate. CoAct is one of five organisations delivering Green Army projects across Australia. It's a six month program for 17-24 year olds to train and work in the environment while undertaking accredited training modules to prepare for work.
The next 12 months will bring more projects, more conservation and more environmental training opportunities for young people.
"I think it's a really good starting point for a career. I work with a great team and it doesn't matter where you come from, what personality you have or your interests, everyone accepts you and that's really great."
